Tunisian entrelac - part 1
This is my first attempt at Tunisian crochet and at Tunisian entrelac, I find it really easy and think it's quite similar in look and feel to the knitted entrelac...
What I did :
- chain 7
- draw a loop through the back loop of every chain, all loops drawn stay on the hook,
- working from left to right, yarn over, draw through next loop on hook, then for every remaining loop, yarn over, draw through next 2 loops on hook, you obtain two stitches each time : one vertical, one horizontal,
- working from right to left, for every stitch, draw a loop inserting the hook in the center of the vertical stitch from the previous row,
- working from left to right, yarn over, draw through next loop on hook, then for every remaining loop, yarn over, draw through next 2 loops on hook,
- etc... up to 6 rows. Single crochet across the last row, from right to left, as for a normal crochet project, inserting the hook in the center of the vertical stitch from the previous row,
- turn your work so as to work on the left side of it, draw a loop from every stitch, keep all loops drawn on the hook
- etc...
Crocheting the 7th row in single crochet avoids ending up with a right-side-wrong-side pattern, like inMary M's tutorial, gives a result more akeen to knitted entrelac... I think.
I'm liking it! Loads of fun!
Polish star
I love it when I tumble upon a new stitch!

Is it knitted?
I decided to give a try to this particular technic because I intend to make myself a nice entrelac bérêt!
to be continued…
