Josephine

Josephine This is the name of my pink crocheted chocker, the pattern of which is now available (I found my notes at last!!).

Click here to download it as a pdf file.

  • Pattern : Josephine, a crocheted lacy chocker by pyogazel.

  • Crochet hook : US size D (3mm)
  • Yarn : almost 1/4 ball of Cotton, brand Pernelle, quality “tropique”, color light pink, 140 yds for 1 oz 3/4, to be used with a 4,5mm hook.

    Short and Sweet

    short and sweet

    Surprising.

Who would have thought? not me... For sure!

But this is living proof I was wrong. I always thought the thinner the yarn, the better. But here, I must recon it is not true. My version in a thinner yarn is less attractive than the thicker original.

    You live, you learn.

I consider my version of short and sweet however satisfactory .

    STATS :

  • Pattern : Short and Sweet, bolero by Angela 'La vonne' Best, started 20 july 2007 finished 04 august 2007 (15 hours of work I think)
  • Stitches :chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and the best part : back post and front post double crochet (see video here), seed stitch.
  • Crochet hook : a definitely too small US size D (3mm)
  • Yarn : almost 6 balls of Cotton, brand Pernelle, reference “tropique”, color light pink (not the best choice, maybe), 140 yds for 1 oz 3/4, to be used with a 4,5mm hook.
  • Design : no sew cardigan (my version).
  • Level : Intermediate (I tried to make it less square shape and more curve friendly).
  •

I did a few more changes in the original design

  • Crocheted!

  • Is it knitted? Nope! Crocheted! Crochet isn't just for grannies, doilies and floppy funky scarves. I am - fairly - under 50, I have a crochet hook and a yarn ball handy in my purse and I like decorating my shoulders better than my sofa.
