Flocons de mais

Voici de quoi faire avec des flocons de maïs, glacés au sucre (Frosties) ou pas.

COCONUT CORN FLAKE COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:

* 2 egg whites
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 2 cups corn flakes
* 1 cup flaked coconut
* 1/2 cup chopped nuts

PREPARATION:

In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites with salt until stiff. Add sugar, a little at a time, beating constantly; beat in vanilla. Fold in corn flakes, coconut, and chopped nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 300° for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool for 1 minute; remove with spatula. Makes about 3 dozen corn flake cookies.

FROSTED FLAKES CHEESECAKE

Ingredients

* 1 c. Sugar Frosted Cornflakes, crumbled
* 1/3 c. melted butter
* 2 (8-oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
* 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened milk
* 1/3 c. lemon juice
* 1 tsp. vanilla
* 1 can Cherry pie filling

Directions

1. Mix cornflakes and butter in a 9 inch pie pan.
2. Press firmly and evenly.
3. Chill.
4. Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy, add sweetened milk and blend thoroughly.
5. Stir in lemon juice and vanilla.
6. Pour into crust and chill for 3 to 4 hours.
7. Top with cherry pie filling and serve.

CRUNCHY CORN FLAKES CHICKEN

Ingredients

* 425 gr. Corn Flakes
* 1 egg
* 250 ml skim milk
* 250 ml all-purpose flour
* salt and freshly ground pepper to taste, a dash of paprika (optional)
* 1 large chicken breast in fillets, or 6 chicken pieces (with or without skin)

2. Place crumbs in shallow dish and set aside, add fresh ground pepper and a dash of paprika
3. Whisk together egg and milk until combined. Add flour, salt and pepper; mix until smooth. Dip chicken pieces into batter; coat with crumbs ( be generous) Place single layer in foil-
4. lined baking pan. Drizzle with margarine.
5. Bake at 200°C (400°F) about 30 - 40 minutes or until cooked through. Do not cover and turn chicken while baking.
