Surprise!
I won’t be able to think right for a long time, because this morning the postman brought me a big BIG present !
I am as excited and frantic as when I received Annette’s present (thank you again Annette ! )
This morning the postman brought 8 Crochet Today! magazines I won on Robyn Chachula’s blog during her virtual yard sale, My God, I wasn’t hoping for so much!
I spent the whole aftenoon as an unworthy mother, not even taking part of the yearly summer festivities(summer solstice is the date of a music festival here in France, “la fête de la musique” ) browsing through the pages, taking notes, gasping while my crochet to-do list was expending dangerously beyond doability…
Thank you so much Robyn!
Hint
Don’t know what to buy for Xmas?
Here is a list of a few books you should have to complete a decent bookshelf…
No doubt, crochet is in!
By Robyn Chachula,
you know her work through “Sensual Crochet", Crochet Today!
or her weblog “Crochet by Faye”
Blue Print Crochet
This is a step ahead in crochet instructions as they were known a few years ago, as the athor focuses on graphs
(hence the title)
Robyn’s elegant and sharp style will certainly seduce you (I am already ).
by Kristin Omdahl,
You’ve seen her name in the contributor’s list of “Vogue Knitting on the Go: Crocheted Shawls”
or you’ve visited her page, Styled By Kristin
Wrapped in Crochet
This is going to be a big thing!
The designer is extremely creative and imaginative ! You don’t believe me? Well then, check her Flickr page !
By the way, don’t miss this free pattern she designed for Caron, Belize wrap.
By Mary Jane Hall,
You may already know her book, “Positively crochet", and her website Mj crochet
Crochet That Fits
Shaped Fashions Without Increases or Decreases
The picture and the title are self explanatory and very elloquent I think!…
I find it amusing that Mary Jane would issue this book while I’ve been working myself on the same principles, working crochet clothes vertically to ensure “curve-friendly” fit… Crochet is a small world indeed ! As if the idea was floating in the air and waiting to rain down on us…
Vivement Noël
